Join Our Pack

Registration & Fees

Once you are ready to join, you can complete your registration 100% online within 10 minutes here. Scouting is a valuable program, and with value comes costs. There are two fees: Scouting.org and Pack 447 + additional (optional) actives and uniform.

BSA:  Cub Scouting membership is an annual fee based on the date of your registration and paid during the online application process. This paid for “big picture” items, such as the council staff and facilities, leader training, insurance, etc. Scouting.org will send out a reminder prior to your 12 month expiration date. 

Pack 447: Our Pack charges an annual registration fee that pays for your scout’s individual awards, patches, program materials, room booking fees, etc.

Activities: Occasionally the unit hosts activities such as tours or campouts that have additional costs, for only those that choose to participate.  Costs can range upwards from $20 for a typical weekend campout (assuming you have personal camping gear).  

Uniforms: +$100: shirt, hat, neckerchief, pack & council patches, book (optional, as you can see all materials online). Note: It is OK to wear other blue or green pants or jeans in Pack 447.

After you’ve joined our pack, here is what you need to do know.

1. Accept Your Scoutbook Invite

Our pack uses the ScoutBook web app to allow parents and den leaders to track cub scout advancement, to manage our pack and den calendars, and to send email communications.  This ScoutBook video provides an introduction to the features of ScoutBook.  And the ScoutBook Tutorial for Parents provides additional information on how to use the features of ScoutBook.

2. Join our Slack Channel

You will receive a link upon signing up to join our slack channel, which is where we communicate upcoming activities and discuss fun events.

3. Get Your Uniform and Book

There are two Scout shops in our area to purchase uniforms, handbooks and supplies or via online scout shop www.scoutshop.org.
